September poetry theme: A WISH
(writing tip: It helps to write a good poem when you use things from your one life [like experiences, dreams]. But it's also a very good exersise to go beyond what you've experienced into subjects you havent been in. It will expand your crteativity!)
poets! ryhme away!
Hope so tender
ReplyDeleteA wish so sweet
Yet dare not
This dream to seek
As time will pass
The dream will fade
Wishful thoughts
Or so they say
Through years gone by
The wish is here
Clear as day
Not dimmed by fear
The wish remains
The chance won't stay
Will you act,
Or will you wait?
Time after time
ReplyDeleteI tried to write out
The wish in my heart
That I so long to shout
With all of my being
I want to convey
The words deep inside
That my lips just won't say
But something says "Caution,
The time is not right
Be patient and trust Him
And hold forth your light"
So chaining my pen
I'll refuse its appeal
To reach deep inside
And my true wish reveal
"It walks with me every minute,
ReplyDeleteThere no way get rid of it,
Its my wish,
I long for you, my bliss,
The sun comes up the trees,
And all that i can see,
Is my wish,
I long for you, my bliss,
The sunset leaves our town,
And theres nothing but one sound,
my wish,
I still long for you, my bliss!
In the land of SleepyTown,
In my dreams one thing i found,
Twas my wish,
I long for you, my bliss,
In time i'll reach the valley where,
I'll behold your face so fair,
My wish, ive longed for you, my bliss!"
I wish you would've told me,
ReplyDeleteIf only I had known,
I can't help but feel regret,
For all the things I've done,
When I see you sad and lonely,
My soul is ripped in two,
Boy, don't you know it hurts me,
Not to be in love with you,
But I'm waiting on the Father,
And I know He has a plan,
So I'll walk in-step beside Him,
Till He shows me if you're "the man",
Holding my wish, here I stand,
Till this road I understand.
